As more and more palm oil plantations are destroying rainforests, the more orangutans are suffering. Since palm oil is in so many products such as: shampoo, soap, baked goods, cookies, etc, the demand for it is really high. When the orangutan’s homes are destroyed they look for food on the plantations, but then they are tortured and killed because the workers see them as agricultural pests. But why is it a crime to look for food in the area that was forcefully taken away from you?

Over 100,000 sea animals die from plastic entanglement or plastic consumption. Even eating a piece of plastic that is as small as your pinky nail is deadly for sea animals. But it’s hard for them to stop themselves when there is about 100 million tons of plastic being thrown into the ocean.
Floods, wildfires, heat waves and ice caps melting are just the start of global warming.
We have the solutions to combat global warming; however, not everyone is trying. But now is the time for everyone to come and work together and try to save our Earth. Everyone has the ability, tools and resources to have a smaller carbon footprint, we just have to use them. The Earth helps to provide us with food, shelter, and many other resources, so shouldn’t we do everything we can to help preserve it.
People in third world countries use different parts of the coconut tree and fruit as a natural resource to build mats, baskets, brooms and more.
